ITE continues regional development: the company enters the Southern Russia market

ITE occupies the leading position in terms of the number of international trade exhibitions run in Russia. ITE holds more than 200 business events all over the world annually. The most large-scale projects, including such well-known exhibitions as MosBuild, MIOGE, TransRussia, and Motor Show are held by ITE in Russia. Leading producers use ITE’s exhibitions to enter new markets.

Before the last year, ITE’s activities in Russia were concentrated in Moscow and St. Petersburg.  Starting from April 2008, Siberian Fair, an organiser of the largest exhibitions in Novosibirsk, has become a member of the Group.

This year ITE has made a decision to give an opportunity to its exhibitors to enter the market of the Southern Federal District. International Exhibition for Infrastructure Development of Olympic Facilities in Krasnodar Region (IDES) is planned to be organised in Sochi from 1 to 3 October. This professional forum will provide a chance to companies interested in the development of their business in the Southern Federal District to present their capabilities and establish interaction with the authorities and business circles of the region. Many companies have already applied for participation in the exhibition. Exhibitors of IDES include leading Russian and international equipment manufacturers: Bosch, Siemens, 3M, General Electric, Tavrida Electric, Energostroyinvest Holding, Globalelectroservice, EKS Forma, Gazprommach, Obninsk Centre Naukograd and many others.

Alexander Shtalenkov, General Director of ITE, said: “We have been working in the Russian market for more than 15 years, and we have huge experience in running major specialised trade shows of international scale. We have been nurtured an idea of regional development of our exhibition business for quite a long time. Last year, we finally found a worthy target for investments and purchased Siberian Fair. Sochi is consistent continuation of our regional development”.

ITE’s idea has gained support at the highest governmental level. Ministry of Regional Development of the RF supervising financing and construction of Olympic facilities was one of the first entities to support this professional forum. Victor Basargin, Minister of Regional Development of the RF, stated: “Development of variable infrastructure facilities is the key task in the preparation for the Olympic Games.  IDES exhibition contributes to the solution of issues associated with the construction and covers the most critical fields of activities.

International Exhibition for Infrastructure Development of Olympic Facilities in Krasnodar Region is also supported by: Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District, Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the RF, Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision, Federal Service for Nature Use, Federal Agency of Water Resources, GK Olympstroy, Administration of Krasnodar Region, Administration of Sochi, Russian Gas Society, Krasnodarkraigaz and Union of Architects of Russia.
